Unlike a simple school test, IGCSE final grades are not raw percentages. Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) and Pearson Edexcel use:

Every calculation follows the official methodology published by the examination boards:
We apply the exact multipliers specified in each subject's syllabus so that a 40-mark paper and an 80-mark paper contribute their intended share of the final grade.
Grade boundaries are loaded for the selected exam series. We prioritise the most recent published data and continually expand historical coverage.

- Manual cross-checks — New or updated boundaries are reviewed against the original PDFs before being added to the calculator.
- Clear labelling — Users can select the exact series and variant so the correct thresholds are applied.
- Continuous updates — Thresholds are refreshed after official results publications (typically within weeks of release).
